Assessments

All assessments will be dependent on the family situation and on the information provided at the time. We use a strengths-based approach and ensure transparency and collaboration with the family and any agencies involved. We always ensure contextual information is included so the situation can be fully understood. We offer a range of assessments including:

Parenting Assessments

A holistic assessment which includes the needs of the whole family which considers the child’s developmental needs, parenting capacity plus family and environmental factors. 

Family Assessments

The family assessment is a holistic assessment of their whole family and their needs and areas for support.

Proportionate Assessments

This is an overview of the current situation for a family and identification of need and support, including signposting to appropriate agencies.

Parent/Carer Assessments

An assessment of parent/carer needs and support when caring for a child/young person or adult with neurodivergence. This will include a full assessment of the caring role to identify any areas of possible support and contingency planning.

Viability Assessments

Assessment of family members, friends and connected persons as possible support to the parents or carer’s to the child or as possible short or long-term carers. 

Risk Assessments

This assessment considers current and future risk for an individual and how this can be best managed. This could include vulnerability to exploitation or Domestic Abuse.
